Call for stream submissions to WORK2019

Welcome to the fourth International Interdisciplinary Conference on Research on Work which will be held 14-16 August 2019 in Helsinki.

The theme for the WORK2019 Conference, Real Work in the Virtual World addresses the complexities of current and future work across several topics such as occupations, industries, technologies and national contexts. The theme calls for and welcomes explorations on contextualized work and workers, slow shifts and changes in the working life, but also drastic new developments in societies and economies.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal for a stream to the next WORK2019 conference, it is time to act now! Submission for new streams is open! Send us your proposal by email: by the end of September 2018.

The first conference on research on work, WORK2013, followed by the second conference, WORK2015 in Turku, Finland brought over 400 participants from all over the world with excellent keynote and paper sessions. WORK2017 stood out with the interdisciplinary theme of digital future and with great keynotes, papers and discussions. The WORK2019, with the theme Real Work in the Virtual World, meets you all in 2019 in two iconic venues: Finlandia Hall and the National Museum of Finland, both at the heart of Helsinki.
